Annoying cellphones

We're all ears. Annoying ringtones, beeping message alerts. Sound off on cellphones. (See Cellphones in the workplace are driving us crazy.)

Annoying I can handle, causing dangerous behavior is another. Watching people driving while fiddling with or talking on cell phones and making poor driving decisions is enough to make me long for a selective and persistent solar storm that would wipe out all but truly emergency cell phone use. Yes, I know cell phones don't cause bad driving any more than guns kill people, but they certainly enable it.

Although, I have a cell phone for emergencies, I rarely use it. I have a hard time keeping the battery recharged.

Personally, I hate the cellphone. People are rude, they can't focus, they are constantly being distracted, assume they can drive, when are doing 45 in a 60 mph speed zone, on the freeway. When I have monthly meetings, for a HOA, cellphone users are always checking the cellphones about every 4 minutes.

Recently, I purchased a cellphone jammer, and I love it. I take it driving, to the store and to the restaurant. This device makes folks shut up and focus. It's great when you are driving, I feel and KNOW I am so much safer.

Thanks for your story on cell-phones. When I get to work the 1st thing I do is put my cell phone on vibrate. I am surrounded by cell-phones at work. Ringing all day, annoying ring tones, screaming jungle monkeys an example, and people yelling into their cell phones on personal calls. I really don't need to hear what you are doing after work or having for dinner. If you must have it on, carry on your person so you can answer it right away! I am sending a copy of this story to the H/R deparment. Hopefully it will make a difference. Thanks again!
