Your Fruitcake Cookies (Nov.29) were a big hit with my family-especially with my husband. I appreciated being able to make the dough ahead & then slice & bake the cookies later. They also looked very pretty on the plate They will be a definite keeper for future Xmas goodie colections . Thanks to your wonderful staff in your test kitchen. We lived in Kirkland 1997 to 2002 & were daily subscribers to your paper. Back in Toronto, it is wonderful to be able to keep tabs on the Seattle area news via the internet . I always check out the Food Section.

My family has 2 favorites-the Roasted Martini short ribs w/ the gremlota-gotta have that with it) and the Trader Vics Ribs...I have made these two recipes for company and have sent copies of the recipes home with everyone. They are easy to prepare, great company dishes and just yummy!!
