Ex-Microsoft team launch Wishabi, a crowdsourcing shopping site

Wehuns Tan left a business development position at Microsoft to start Wishabi, a crowdsourcing shopping site, with a team of friends from the University of Waterloo computer engineering program in Ontario.
The Toronto-based venture that launched today uses a "deal rank" technology to surface the best offers on particular products, which are found by its community of "deal hunters."
Its manifesto:
"The premise behind Wishabi is simple. Build a personal shopping wishlist of things you want and let Wishabi do the rest. After you've built your list, Wishabi will dispatch it's community of deal hunters to scour the Internet for deals. Once good deals are found, they are posted back to Wishabi where they are ranked and rated. The result, a personalized shopping wishlist customized to you with the best deals online."
The site seems polished and busy already, after private beta testing. But it's a challenging space, as evidenced by the fate of ClayValet in Seattle.
