T-Mobile's new Microsoft-Danger Sidekick - the Dangsoft?

Posted by Brier Dudley

So should they call this the Sidekick Manger edition, or the Dangsoft 1.0?

Or maybe just the new Sidekick. Announced today by T-Mobile and Microsoft, it's the first product released by Sidekick developer Danger since Microsoft bought the Palo Alto company in February. Danger's now part of Microsoft's Premium Mobile Experiences group, or PMX.

The phone costs $149.99 with a two-year service agreement. Highlights include video capture and sharing features, Bluetooth media streaming, improved browsing and the ability to save content like Web pages to the included MicroSD memory card. You can also customize the shell, or stick with basic black:

Gadgets and games | Fun stuff I've written about lately includes Apple's iPhone, Hewlett-Packard's HDX laptop and Microsoft's Halo3. Also on the radar are new digital video boxes such as the Tivo HD and the Vudu.
