Olympics: Opening ceremony slideshow
Posted by Rod Mar
Finally had a bit of time and made a little slideshow of stuff from the opening ceremony.
I'd love to write an extended post, but the days are long and I've got to get rest since it's only Day 2.
So much I want to share with you all. For instance, today I shot road racing (that's bicycling), fencing and swimming. With all my requirements to shoot our local athletes, I also will find time to shoot the more "exotic" (for lack of a better term) sports like fencing, judo, etc.
Anyway, hope this looks okay (the audio was taken from my seat in the stadium -- you can hear camera shutters going off...):

Rod,
I've seen a lot of fireworks shots from these opening ceremonies and yours are the best. I pride myself on fireworks shots and yours are perfect.
Great shots overall. Someday I want to shoot alongside you at an olympics

Hey Rod,
First of all you have a great name. Secondly your work is very inspiring that i have even blogged about it myself. When you have to time (i know where you are and understand the time commitment) please take a look at my site: mingo-pe.blogspot.com
Thirdly, can you give us some information on how you shot the opening ceremony? I see a mount and some very long lenses but im not too sure.
Thanks
