BtC was over at the Republican Party party, and even the teetotalers seemed to take a swig or two in celebration of what's looking like a great night for the party. The dream of Karl Rove and Grover Norquist of realignment and a big Republican majority seems to be taking hold as Republicans picked up several Senate seats. President Bush appears to be on his way to re-election, though there'll be disputes in some key states, and it's far from over, to be sure. Here in Washington, Republicans were doing better than they've done in years.
