"American Idol" Top 36, Group 1: Anoop Desai says thanks

Anoop Desai sang "Angel of Mine" by Monica.
His stage experience is evident. His runs didn't seem over the top or out of place. Technically the best of the night so far.
Here's what the judges said:
Randy: "Wasn't your best, but I'm still a huge fan."
Kara: "I feel like you're connected with what you're singing about."
Paula: "This is a different side of you. I believe in you."
Simon: "It was just a bit too serious for you." But "you've got massive likability going for you."
