Von Smith
Age: 22 | Hometown: Kansas City, Mo. | Job: Singer, songwriter
Von has never met a note he couldn't draw out, wrestle to the floor and conquer. His first brush with fame actually came a couple of years ago when a Youtube clip of him singing "And I Am Telling You" earned him an appearance on "The View" thanks to No. 1 fan Rosie O'Donnell. This guy takes over the top to a new level. If he can rein it in though, he could be Top 10. He plays the piano too.

Jackie Tohn
Age: 27 | Hometown: Silver Lake, Calif. | Job: Actress, singer
Jackie has a folky, raspy voice which might make her stand out from the crowd. She's most comfortable performing with her guitar. She's already recorded a couple of CDs. Jackie's got a burgeoning career as an actress, which has prompted some "Idol" pundits to suggest she's simply doing this for the exposure.

Taylor Vaifanua
Age: 17 | Hometown: Hurricane, Utah | Job: Student
Randy Jackson said Taylor reminds him of Season 6 winner Jordan Sparks. Well, she's tall like Jordin, at least. Taylor's got Samoan heritage. She has already released a couple of indie CDs, including "Taylor Vaifanua: Timeless," in 2006. It is a collection of religious hymns and songs. She was a background dancer for "High School Musical 2." She's active on several sports teams at her school.
