Jesse Langseth
Age: 25 | Hometown: Minneapolis | Job: Musician
A bit of hubub has just erupted over the report of a 2007 DUI arrest for Jesse. Not sure why this should have any impact on her singing talent, however. She is the sister of Grammy-winning artist Johnny Lang, so there's obviously proven musical talent in the family. She has an 8-year-old daughter. She made it through to the top 36 by winning a "sing-off" in front of the judges.

Scott Macintyre
Age: 23 | Hometown: Scottsdale, Ariz. | Job: Pianist
Scott has been visually impaired since birth, describing his sight as like looking through a straw. He's fairly renowned as a piano player, and has some impressive conservatory work on his resume. He has independently produced, engineered and released six full-length albums. He has a pretty well-developed Web site too. He completed college at the age of 19.

Nathaniel Marshall
Age: 18 | Hometown: Malone, N.Y. | Job: Student
Yes, he's a bit on the melodramatic side. But a single moment makes me wish he goes further into the competition -- his reaction when the annoying Tatiana Del Toro walked into the room. A vignette during the Hollywood round talked about how his family life has been rough: He's living with his grandmother because his mother had drug issues. He's got piercings aplenty.
