Everyone's a critic: me, you, Barack Obama. Now tell me, where should he eat?

Everyone's a critic, but only one of us is the president-elect of the United States of America. Surely you've heard by now that the guy has a taste for fine food and great restaurants. But have you seen him in action during his brief "career" as a restaurant critic, plugging a family favorite -- Chicago's Dixie Kitchen? Check this out (love it!):

Given his adoration for Dixie's Kitchen's "Southern sampler," hot corn cakes and peach cobbler, I might suggest that the next time he comes to Seattle he head straight for our own Capitol Hill. There, he can sample some surefire Southern hospitality at the inestimable Kingfish Cafe.

I can see him now, smiling that famous smile while filling up on chef Kenyatta Carter's Hoppin' John griddlejacks and My Way or the Highway buttermilk fried chicken (which I've been raving about since way back when). And I'd bet big money that the Kingfish's superior shortcake will make him weep -- and be willing to put a few extra pounds on his way-too-svelte frame.

I'd certainly insist that while in Seattle he tour Pike Place Market and then snag a seat at the counter at the Steelhead Diner. I can just see chef Kevin Davis letting loose, showing Obama how good Southern food can taste when it gets a big-time infusion of Seattle-style.

So, where would you send Omama?
