Traunfeld's Poppy yet to bloom

Posted by Karen Gaudette

Turns out that Poppy, former Herbfarm chef Jerry Traunfeld's much anticipated new restaurant, won't open Saturday, Sept. 13 due to a ''slight delay in obtaining his certificate of occupancy from the city.'' The press release went on to say that Chef Traunfeld hopes to welcome diners to his new spot on Seattle's Capitol Hill sometime next week. We'll bring you more details as we have them.

Our own Nancy Leson weighs in on Traunfeld's new project here. Poppy's Web site is up and running at www.poppyseattle.com.
