She wants the garlic aroma, so I asked in Tacoma

Posted by Nancy Leson

You've got to love Amy Rasmussen, who wrote to say she took my Pike Place Market post to heart, challenging herself to head right over there and shop for dinner. After which she made "a delicious Bolognese" (now there's a gal after my own heart). What's more, she posed a question I, too, have been wondering: Where to eat a "nice dinner" in Tacoma?

I'm professionally mortified to say it's been entirely too long since I've had dinner -- nice, or otherwise -- in Tacoma. And since she's not the first reader to pose that question, I leaned on my friend and colleague, Tacoma News Tribune restaurant critic Ed Murrieta, asking him to please enlighten Amy and, by extension, the rest of us. And bless his tamale-lovin' heart, he did it: Check out his answer, here on his blog, Ed's Diner.
